How to connect a virtual agent to your website

Now it is time to enable chat on your website. For this you need to perform the following steps:
click on Channels in the left hand menu
click on Chat widget if not already selected
Fill in the website domain where the bot will be on
click on Save
provide your domain name without the www.
and without the path /page/..
press 'enter' to add this domain
repeat last two steps if you want this widget to be used on more websites
click add
go to the design tab in top of the sub menu
click on the chat button above "Your widget will look like this"
change the theme color for your widget
optionally upload a Button image
optionally:
Enable "Leave a Message" form (so people can just leave a message without chatting)
Add Whatsapp button (so people can send a message from their own Whatsapp)
Add Telephone button (so people can call directly)
Click on the Save button
Click on the Publish button
select the right color and optionally upload a widget icon, configure whatsapp and your telephony number.
click on select preview site
select your website domain
click Share link
Now a new browser tab is opened showing either an empty page or your website homepage, depending on whether your website allows for previewing. You can see how the widget will look like on your site and test it.
When you finished configuring and testing your webwidget you are safe to add the webwidget to your real live website. For this you need help from someone that has access to the HTML code or content management system of your website, like your webmaster or web department.
The HTML / Javascript snipplet is copied to your clipboard. You can now paste this text into an email to your webmaster or web department or copy it yourself into your content management system.
